Isosonic Screed Plank 20 (ISP20)

Isosonic Screed Planks are denser than standard chipboard flooring, helping to reduce sound transfer by increasing the mass of a structure. They have a very hard and durable surface that is suitable for almost all types of floor finish. ISP boards are designed for use as fully supported floating floors in combination with the Isorubber range of acoustic underlays and soft coverings.

The ISP boards are 20mm thick and have a mass of 1200kg/m3. They provide a monolithic cementitious finish and the lip/lap joint makes them very fast and easy to install. ISP boards have a low thermal resistance and distribute heat evenly making them ideal for use with under floor heating systems.

Rigips Adhesive is used to bond the 50mm lap joints of Screed Plank boards along with staple fixings or screws. As there are no wet trades involved, the ISP boards provide a quick, simple and cost effective way to increase the mass of a lightweight floor.

Main Applicaitons

Isosonic Screed Plank System

The Isosonic Screed Plank system is a versatile acoustic treatment that is ideal for lightweight floors. Screed Plank boards can be used with multiple types of Isorubber resilient layer and various Isosonic Ceiling options meaning a solution can be tailored to the needs of the project.

The ISP boards are fitted as a floating floor over an isolating Isorubber layer that is laid onto a structural deck.

Timber Floors

The Isosonic Screed Plank is perfectly suited to timber floor constructions, adding mass to improve acoustic performance and providing a hard, robust screed like finish. When this is paired with 8mm Isorubber Standard acoustic matting it provides excellent performance that can meet and exceed both new build and refurbishment requirements.

To meet Approved Document Part E compliance timber floor structures usually require an Isosonic Ceiling system, consisting of Isosonic Brackets with an MF ceiling system. Alternatively, our Isosonic Hanger range can be used with timber battens. All ceiling systems are under drawn with a layer of 12.5mm plasterboard and either a layer of 19mm plasterboard plank or 15mm Soundbloc board.

Under Floor Heating

Isosonic Screed Planks provide an even and speedy heat distribution making them the ideal floor covering to use with under floor heating systems, helping to optimise efficiency and reduce energy costs.

Isosonic Screed Planks are suitable for use with both warm water and electrical heating installations, so whatever type of system you choose Isosonic Screed Plank is your perfect partner for under floor heating.
