Hangers & Brackets

Our range of Isosonic Hangers, Brackets and Cleats are for use in ceiling constructions, they are designed to acoustically isolate a plasterboard layer from the structure above. This range of products can be used in on their own to provide a general improvement or in combination with Isorubber and Isosonic floor coverings to meet Building Regulation requirements

Isosonic Hanger Type C

The Type C hangers are suitable for use in both timber joist and concrete floor constructions. They are fixed to the underside of the structural floor and provide a ceiling drop of approximately 60mm. When used in a timber construction they hold a 50 x 50mm batten at 90º to the joists.

Isosonic Bracket 45

The Isosonic Brackets 45 are suitable for use in both timber joist and concrete floor constructions. They are fixed to the underside of the structural floor and provide a ceiling drop of between 40mm – 60mm. Isosonic Brackets can hold a 50 x 50mm batten or a 50mm wide ceiling channel.

Isosonic Bracket 125

The Isosonic Brackets 125 are suitable for use in both timber joist and concrete floor constructions. They are fixed to the underside of the structural floor and provide a ceiling drop of between 50mm – 135mm. Isosonic Brackets can hold a 50 x 50mm batten or a 50mm wide ceiling channel.

Isoedge Stop End

Isosonic Ceiling Cleat is an acoustically isolating cleat and is suitable for use in both timber joist and concrete floor constructions when using a metal frame ceiling. They are fixed to the underside of the structural floor with standard fixings and are compatible with most types of metal frame. Isosonic Ceiling Cleats are a requirement of Robust Details E-FC-14 and E-FC-16

Isosonic Hanger Type A

For use in timber floor constructions, the Type A hangers are designed to minimise construction depth. Type A hangers are fixed to the side of the joists, meaning that only a 5mm void is needed between the underside of the joist and the top of the plasterboard.
