Isorubber Standard is an acoustic insulation and vibration reducing mat that can be laid beneath a screed or timber floating floor to reduce impact sound and vibration transmission to assist in sound proofing applications. A very durable product with a density of over 760Kg/m3, Isorubber Standard does not suffer from any deterioration of acoustic performance during the normal lifespan of a building. This is because it undergoes virtually no short term deformation or long term creep deformation under normal domestic loads.
Isorubber Standard is manufactured from waste rubber and has a Global Warming Potential of Zero and an Ozone Depletion Potential of Zero. Isorubber products provide a means of using problematic waste material to the benefit of the environment.
Service temp. range -30°C to +120°C
Elongation at Break 30%
Tensile Strength 0.3N/mm2
Ozone Depletion Potential Zero

Isorubber Standard can be used as an under screed acoustic insulation in precast plank, in-situ concrete, steel composite and beam & block floor constructions and is suitable for use in new-build and refurbishment applications. When using Isorubber Standard below a screed IsoEdge or IsoFlank perimeter isolation strip is required to prevent flanking sound bypassing the acoustic layer. If Approved Document Part E compliance is required a metal frame or Isosonic Ceiling system is usually required below the structural floor.
Isosonic Timber Conversions
The Isosonic Timber Conversion Systems provide a range of solutions to suit most acoustic refurbishment applications. They consist of various overlay products, including Isorubber Standard resilient acoustic insulation, over existing timber floor structures. All of the timber conversion systems incorporate mineral wool between the joists and an Isosonic acoustic ceiling or resilient bar ceiling treatment below.
