Andrew brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge to his role as Technical Consultant and to this readily expanding team.<\/p>\n<p>With a degree in Cities: Environment, Design and Development and having gone on to pass further industry relevant courses such as AIEMA, Building Research Establishment \u2013 Code for Sustainable Homes Assessor and BREEAM as well as now working towards a CEnv; Andrew was seen as a strong candidate for this role.<\/p>\n<p>Matt Tiller, Head of Technical Services comments, \u2018As well as Andrew\u2019s technical knowledge, he has a strong drive to build his career and that is the type of person we were after. Our Technical Services department is growing and we want to build it with like-minded people.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Andrew\u2019s skills and previous experience are welcome attributes to Thermal Economics. These include creating and modifying complex 3D models in order to perform calculations for daylight and sunlight analysis, certifications such as ISO9001, daylight and sunlight reports for planning as well as carrying out all the necessary modelling and calculations including 25\u00b0 Plane Analysis, Vertical Sky Component, Average Daylight Factor, Sunlight Hours (for a range of time periods over windows and amenity spaces) and overshadowing, carrying out Code for Sustainable Homes and BREEAM assessments.<\/p>\n<p>All of this will provide extremely useful in his new role in which he has already hit the ground running in supporting Thermal Economics clients with daylight\/sunlight consultancy, 3D modelling and environmental assessments. Complimentary to these services are report writing, technical notes, project management, planning submission deadlines and providing building specifications.<\/p>\n<p>Hugo Brown, Joint Managing Director concludes, \u2018We pride ourselves on our technical knowledge and support we provide to our clients and Andrew makes a great addition to this team.
